| | title (EN) | Kirby Mass Attack | | synopsis (EN) | If you think one Kirby is fun, wait till you have a swarm of ten under your control in Kirby Mass Attack! When an evildoer with a magic cane appears one day, he uses his powers to split Kirby into ten pieces. In order to restore Kirby to his original form, you set off on a colourful, side-scrolling adventure, taking charge of up to ten Kirby at once to defeat enemies and solve inventive puzzles along the way. As you journey on your quest you’ll need to keep fully stocked up on fruit – the more you eat the more points you collect and more Kirby you create, giving you extra help on the mission. When you have more Kirby on hand, enemies are simpler to defeat, objects easier to move and puzzles less tricky to solve, so make sure you keep your eyes peeled for fruity treats. Some challenges also require assistance from a certain number of Kirby so don’t let your numbers get too low. In order to coordinate your attacks and use the Kirby to solve puzzles and hunt for treasure, the game is fully controlled with the stylus and Touch Screen. With a double tap, the mass of Kirby will dash towards the point and a flick of the stylus will make them jump, breaking objects if they get enough momentum. The Kirby will automatically attack enemies if set upon them en masse and when you hold your stylus on the Touch Screen, a star will appear which allows you to move the Kirby as a group by drawing a line. The Kirby aren’t invincible though. If they suffer damage, they will turn blue to show they’re wounded. In order to heal them, pass them through special rings on each level or if they are hit again, they will turn into angels and start flying away. You can help them though, by commanding your Kirby to jump up and pull down the angels to save them before they float away. Throughout the game there are a number of additional challenges to put you through your paces. By collecting medals hidden throughout the various stages, you can unlock a wide variety of additional mini-games, each with its own distinctive challenge. From counting the number of Kirby on the screen within a time limit, to pinball, shooting and much more, you’ll find hours of Kirby fun. | | title (NL) | Kirby Mass Attack | | synopsis (NL) | Als je één Kirby al leuk vindt, moet je eens zien wat er gebeurt als je er tien tegelijk bestuurt in Kirby Mass Attack. Op een dag verschijnt er een slechterik die met een magische staf Kirby in tien stukken splijt. Om Kirby zijn eigen vorm terug te geven ga je op een kleurrijk, side-scrolling avontuur waarin je tien Kirby’s tegelijk bestuurt. Die tien roze helden komen onderweg goed van pas om vijanden te verslaan of inventieve puzzels op te lossen. Tijdens je avontuur moet je zo veel mogelijk fruit eten, want daarmee verdien je niet alleen punten maar kun je ook extra Kirby’s maken. Een groter aantal Kirby’s maakt het makkelijker om vijanden te verslaan, objecten te verplaatsen en puzzels op te lossen, dus houd je ogen open voor al die fruitige hapjes. Sommige uitdagingen kun je alleen aan als je over een bepaald aantal Kirby’s beschikt, dus probeer er altijd zo veel mogelijk bij je te hebben. Het spel wordt volledig met de stylus op het touchscreen bestuurd. Je kunt bijvoorbeeld twee keer ergens tikken om er met je hele groep Kirby’s naartoe te rennen, terwijl je de Kirby’s kunt laten springen door de stylus omhoog te trekken. Als de Kirby’s genoeg vaart hebben, kun je er ook mee door voorwerpen breken. Wanneer je de stylus tegen het touchscreen aan houdt, verschijnt een ster en kun je een lijn tekenen waar de Kirby’s zich als groep langs bewegen. Je legertje Kirby’s valt automatisch de vijanden aan waar je ze naartoe stuurt. Maar pas op, want de Kirby’s zijn niet onkwetsbaar. Als ze schade oplopen, worden ze blauw van kleur. Om ze te herstellen moet je ze door de speciale ringen loodsen die je in elk level tegenkomt. Als een blauwe Kirby nog een keer wordt geraakt, verandert hij in een engel die probeert weg te vliegen. Als je snel genoeg bent kun je zo’n engel nog terughalen door er met je Kirby’s naartoe te springen en hem omlaag te trekken. Tijdens het spel wordt je scherp gehouden door telkens weer nieuwe uitdagingen. Door in het hoofdspel medailles te verdienen krijg je toegang tot zeer diverse minigames, elk met een specifieke uitdaging. In de ene minigame moet je bijvoorbeeld het aantal Kirby’s in beeld tellen, terwijl je in een andere moet schieten of flipperen. Zo blijft Kirby je urenlang vermaken. |
