Story
10,000 years ago, an artificial intelligence known as Shira was built to protect the residents of Mars.
As time passed, the AI became corrupted and Shira started to attack the Mars colonies. With no way to defend itself against Evil Shira, Mars calls for help. The Earth Defense Force fleet fights its way to Evil Shira and uses powerful lasers to destroy it. However, Evil Shira secretly had a backup that flees into space and takes over an abandoned space station at the outskirts of the solar system.
When the EDF notices the escape, they send their bravest fighter after Evil Shira. You are this pilot, and your mission is to destroy Evil Shira before it can complete its new attack force and threaten the existence of the entire universe.

Der Soundtrack erinnert an die Glanzzeiten japanischer Shoot-em-ups. Rafael Dyll, der Komponist, vertonte bereits mehrere Konsolenspiele und kehrt mit seiner Musik für „Ghost Blade HD“ zu seinen Ursprüngen zurück. Durch die Verbindung von J-Pop-Einflüssen mit typischen Synths der 90er-Jahre und modernen Produktionstechniken erschafft Dyll einen actiongeladenen Soundtrack mit eingängigen Melodien und elektronischen Beats.
Die Geschichte
Vor 10.000 Jahren wurde die künstliche Intelligenz Shira erschaffen, um die Bewohner des Mars zu schützen.
Im Laufe der Zeit wurde Shira fehlerhaft und fing an, die Mars-Kolonien anzugreifen. Diese hatten keine Möglichkeit, sich gegen die Attacken von „Evil Shira“ zu verteidigen und sandten einen Hilferuf an die Flotte der Earth Defense Force. Die EDF zerstörte Evil Shira mittels riesiger Laser. Evil Shira hatte jedoch ein geheimes Backup, das ins Weltall fliehen konnte und eine verlassene Raumstation am Rande unseres Sonnensystems übernahm.
Als die EDF die Flucht bemerkte, beauftragte sie ihren mutigsten Piloten, um „Evil Shira” zur Strecke zu bringen. Dieser Pilot bist du! Es ist deine Mission, Evil Shira zu vernichten, bevor sie in der Lage ist, eine neue Angriffsflotte aufzubauen und das ganze Universum bedroht!
