Het vangen van vis kan moeilijk zijn, vooral als je niet de goede equipment gebruikt dan kan je namelijk vis kwijtraken. Wanneer de vis bijt komt er een "hooking gauge" daarop staat een naald, die gaat van links naar rechts. De grap is dat je jou Wiimote horizontaal moet houden, en zodra de naald in het groene gedeelte van de "hooking gauge" is moet je die omhoog zwaaien. Wanneer de vis niet trekt moet je proberen de vis naar binnen te halen met de Nunchuck of de A knop.
