Explore underground mine shafts, dash through underwater tunnels, and hang glide through the clouds in Sonic’s search for the Chaos Emeralds! De retour sur son île, Sonic assiste à l'enlèvement de Tails par le Dr Eggman (alias Dr. Robotnik). Celui-ci a kidnappé tous les amis de Sonic et les a revêtus de costumes permettant de les contrôler. Pour récupérer ses amis, Sonic va devoir rapporter au maléfique docteur les six Chaos Emeralds cachées sur l'île.
Explorez des mines souterraines, traversez des tunnels sous-marins et glissez d'un nuage à l'autre pour récupérer des Chaos Emeralds. Une fois que vous les aurez toutes retrouvées, vous devrez affronter le Dr Eggman et déjouer une fois de plus les projets de domination mondiale du savant fou !

Als Ausgleich für ihre heile Rückkehr verlangt er die sechs Chaos-Emeralds, die auf der Insel versteckt sind.
Erkunde in der Rolle Sonics die unterirdischen Minenschächte, flitze auf der Suche nach den Chaos-Emeralds durch Unterwassertunnel und segle durch die Wolken. Sobald Sonic alle Chaos-Emeralds gefunden hat, muss er versuchen, den bösen Wissenschaftler Dr. Eggman zu besiegen und seine Pläne zur Weltherrschaft zu durchkreuzen!

Sonic torna sulla sua isola proprio nel momento in cui il Dr. Eggman, detto anche Dr. Robotnik, sta fuggendo insieme a Tails! Il Dr. Eggman ha infatti rapito tutti gli animali amici di Sonic e li ha costretti a indossare delle tute robotiche per controllare la loro mente. Per salvare gli animali dell'isola, Sonic dovrà recuperare i sei Chaos Emerald e consegnarli allo scienziato malvagio.
Nei panni del famoso riccio esplorerai miniere e tunnel sommersi, planerai fra le nuvole ed eviterai i vari ostacoli che incontrerai lungo il cammino e, cosa più importante, cercherai di sventare il diabolico piano del Dr. Eggman per la conquista del mondo!
