Unlike its arcade predecessors, R-Type III™: The Third Lightning™ was made especially for Super Nintendo, making full use of the ‘Mode 7’ graphics system to generate backgrounds that twist, tilt and spin.
R-Type III™ also introduced new Force pods - Round Force, Shadow Force and Cyclone Force – that can be attached to the front or rear of your ship to provide massive firepower, especially when upgraded with the plentiful power-ups. Plus, the charged-up Wave weapon is now joined by the awesome Hyper Wave Cannon. Use it sparingly, though, or your ship will overheat.

Dans R-Type III™ sont aussi apparus de nouveaux modules de Force (Round Force, Shadow Force et Cyclone Force) qui peuvent s'attacher à l'avant ou l'arrière de votre appareil afin de vous fournir une puissance de feu accrue, spécialement si vous les couplez avec les nombreux objets disponibles. De plus, le laser peut désormais être utilisé en mode Hyper. Mais utilisez-le avec parcimonie pour ne pas faire surchauffer votre appareil.

Anders als seine Vorgänger ist R-Type III: The Third Lightning keine Spielhallenkonvertierung, sondern wurde speziell für Super Nintendo entwickelt. R-Type III nutzt den "Mode 7" voll aus und bietet so einzigartige bewegliche Hintergründe.
Außerdem gibt es in R-Type III drei Force-Einheiten - Standard-Force, Schatten-Force und Zyklon-Force - die du am Bug oder Heck deines Schiffes ankoppeln kannst und die deine Feuerkraft mächtig erhöhen - besonders, wenn du sie mit einem der zahlreichen Power-Ups aufrüstest. Doch das ist noch nicht alles: Die altbekannte Wave-Kanone kann jetzt auch im Hyper-Modus feuern. Aber sei vorsichtig damit, oder dein Schiff überhitzt sich!
Wenn dir das ursprüngliche R-Type für Turbografx gefallen hat, dann darf R-Type III: The Third Lightning auf keinen Fall in deiner Sammlung fehlen!

Al contrario que sus predecesores de arcade, R-Type III: The Third Lightning se desarrolló exclusivamente para Super Nintendo, aprovechando al máximo el sistema de gráficos "Mode 7" para generar fondos que giran, vibran y dan vueltas.
En R-Type III puedes elegir entre tres módulos -el módulo redondo, el módulo ciclón y el módulo sombra- que se pueden acoplar en la parte delantera o trasera de la nave y que multiplicarán su potencia de disparo, especialmente si los combinas con todas las mejoras. Además del cañón de ondas, está el hipercañón de ondas. Úsalo con moderación, ya que puede sobrecalentar la nave.
Si te gustó el R-Type original de Turbografx, R-Type III: The Third Lightning merece sin duda un hueco en tu colección de clásicos.

R-Type III ha anche introdotto delle nuove sfere Force (Round Force, Shadow Force e Cyclone Force) che possono essere attaccate al muso o al retro della tua navicella per fornirti un'impressionante potenza di fuoco, soprattutto dopo averle potenziate al massimo. Inoltre, l'arma a onde a carica è affiancata dal fantastico cannone a onde iper. Ma cerca di usarlo con giudizio, altrimenti il tuo caccia si surriscalderà.
Se hai apprezzato R-Type su Turbografx, R-Type III: The Third Lightning è una fantastica perla del passato che non può mancare alla tua collezione.

In tegenstelling tot zijn speehalvoorgangers, is R-Type III: The Third Lightning speciaal gemaakt voor de Super Nintendo. Het spel maakt volledig gebruik van ‘Mode 7’, de grafische functie om achtergronden te genereren die kunnen draaien, kantelen en roteren.
R-Type III introduceerde eveneens nieuwe Force Pods – Ronde Force, Schaduw-Force en Cycloon-Force. Deze kunnen aan de voor- of achterkant van je vliegtuig worden bevestigd voor enorme vuurkracht, in het bijzonder als ze worden versterkt met de in overvloed aanwezig zijnde power-ups. Daarnaast krijgt het opgeladen Golfkanon gezelschap van het waanzinnige Hypergolfkanon. Gebruik hem wel met mate, anders raakt je vliegtuig oververhit!
Als je het oorspronkelijke R-Type voor de Turbografx goed vond, is dit een klassieker die absoluut in je collectie thuishoort.
