As one of four main characters, you'll battle through Mt. Hoshin, Mt. Senkai, and The City of the Ancients. In each stage, you must equip your Runes strategically in order to defeat powerful enemies and bosses. The more Runes you gather, the more spells you unlock and levels you advance. そんなある日、「周建国の戦い」で封神されたはずの「紂王」「妲己」「聞仲」「悪来」の４人が、封神台から逃げ出した。「紂王」が祖先の呪文を使って「聖龍」を呼び出し、その力の源である「龍玉」を奪ったのだ。
「龍玉」の力で死者や怪物を蘇らせた紂王は、大軍を率いて周王朝に復讐をたくらむ。紂王の動きを知った「子牙」「麗蘭」「太公望」「ナタ」の４人は「元始天尊」の命を受け、紂王に敢然と立ち向かった。
